30 Students will work with JP Morgan Chase professionals to explore banking and finance. The event includes lunch.
Overview: Their mission is to introduce diverse groups of middle school girls to technology-focused career possibilities, emphasizing cyber security and AI (Artificial Intelligence).
Students will gain valuable knowledge about the career(s) they are interested in and receive mentoring from experienced professionals in their fields to help them plan for their future careers. Register by 12/1.
A hands-on money management experience that mimics real-world careers, living expenses, budgets, and more.

Every summer Sherman Library & Gardens offers an intensive six-week full time paid internship opportunity for High School students who show an interest in study or career options in the field of horticulture and/or public gardens. In recent years we have welcomed students from El Dorado High School, Placentia, Early College High School, Costa Mesa and Newport Harbor High School, Newport Beach. The interns joined our horticulture and education team for a varied program of practical garden work, summer camp, field trips and individual projects.

This opportunity is open to High School Seniors, and the winner selected will receive a paid summer internship and a $5,000 award towards college expenses. The application process is simple and involves answering 3 essay questions. The deadline for submissions is Sunday, April 21st.
Launched in 2021, the UCI MIND – Beall Scholar Program engages racially and ethnically diverse students from local high schools in research and education on Alzheimer’s disease and dementia to inspire future academic and career choices in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), especially geriatric healthcare and research. This program aims to provide skills and experiences that enhance these students’ opportunities and wherewithal when applying to college, especially for majors focused on aging, neuroscience, and healthcare.
